Making Web Applications Easy

RIBAX Tutorial

Welcome to the RIBAX tutorial. These pages will guide you through the features of RIBAX and enable you to build a RIBAX application quickly and easily. In this tutorial we are going to load a web page with the RIBAX Applet embedded on the web page. In order to work through this tutorial you will need to install the RIBAX JAR files in a folder on a web server. The fully qualified URL to the folder where you install the RIBAX JAR files will be your root URL.

We will build a simple application to look at each element of RIBAX. Our example application is installed on the fictional web server www.mywebsite.com in the ribax folder so the URL to our fictional application is http://www.mywebsite.com/ribax/. The following examples use this URL as the root URL.

This tutorial has the following sections;

Part 1 - Introduction

Part 2 - RIBAX Elements

Part 3 - Web Services

Part 4 - Advanced Topics

Part 5 - Debugging

This tutorial is a work in progress and will eventually be moved ito the wiki so other users can contribute. If you have any questions then please join the RIBAX mailing lists to receive notifications of RIBAX updates, interact with other RIBAX users, share ideas and applications and get help on using RIBAX.
